‘tis the season…
The preparation for Christmas season!
Soon our tree will be going up and our girls will be in decorating mode
We love to make our own Christmas decorations and I thought of a really simple, cheap and cool decoration
A string of tissue paper snow flakes
excuse my apple tree, it made a good Christmas tree for the photos
So to start with I grabbed my stash of recycled tissue paper, white ink pad and the Christmas Elegance pack of stamps
I then cut out square/rectangle shapes from the tissue paper
I stamped a snowflake on each
then used the sewing machine and stitched them all together, leaving a gap of sting in between each square.
By using the sewing machine it gives added strength to the cotton ‘string’, because it twists the cotton into 1 length rather than 2
So now we wait for our tree to go up and our new snowflake string to be wrapped around it
and for now it is gracing our dining room and making the room a little jollier
That is super cute!
