I’ve just moved house, which means (please don’t hate me) I finally get my own workspace. A whole room, just for making stuff – such bliss! One of the first things I’m planning to do is buy a pot of magnetic paint and completely coat a wall so I can fix notes, reminders, photos and inspirational tear-sheets wherever I want. The paint, of course, is no good without plenty of actual magnets to cling to it, which is where my on-their-way-to-the-packing-boxes Banana Frog stamps came in handy last week.
If you want to try making something
similar, all you need is some scraps of patterned paper, strong card,
magnet-backs and a set of the It’s All About…Arrows stamps, plus your favourite
ink, embossing powder and stamping equipment.
Cut out circles of card using a
die-cutter, punch or scissors, and trim paper circles to the same size. Ink
your chosen arrow stamp and position over one of the paper circles, checking
through the clear stamp and block to make sure it’s centred or aligned. Stamp the image, and then heat emboss
to add a little texture. Stick the stamped circle to one of the thicker card
circles, and glue a magnet to the back. For added durability, you might want to
brush or spray a coat of clear varnish on to your finished magnets.
Wish me luck with the painting and
organising, and don’t forget to share if you make your own set of magnets, or
anything at all using Banana Frog stamps.
Until later, Froglets.

Love the acid colours! You're really making me wish I had heat-embossing equipment .... I may have to succumb :)

For the pursuit of light and heat, people would rather give up his life. Life is sweet. But the cold and lonely, but not the astounding.Do you think so?
