Lately I've been loving fabric and stitching on cards! And since the Banana Frog challenge this month is all about favourites, it seemed like I should use my all-time favourite Banana Frog stamps - Scribble Flowers - with my current favourite card technique.
I started by rounding the corners of the green card blank, then used a 3" circle punch to create the aperture, although you can also purchase cards with apertures already cut. Then I added the punched border strip across the card and used the punch a second time to cut the border in just the right place. By turning the punch upside down, it's super easy to line up the cut.
Then I stamped the Scribble Flowers with three colours of ink onto a scrap of plain white cotton. I added some temporary adhesive around the edge of the circle on the inside of the card to hold the fabric in place, then stuffed it with a cotton ball, pulled out and torn away until the 'pillow' was just enough. Then added the original 3" circle I had punched out of the card so no cotton was on the loose. A zig-zag stitch on the sewing machine holds all those layers in place, and some letter stickers and sanding finish everything else!
Love and glitter,
Shimelle
