Hands up if there are wedding plans going on around you at the moment. Was that the sound of hundreds of ‘Beautiful Bride’ magazines, exclusive venue brochures and professional photographer portfolios falling to the ground when you raised your hand? Well, leave them where they are for now, sit back and think about this...in all your research how many times has the bespoke option been the easiest and cheapest? Never? That’s what I thought you'd say but in making your own Wedding Stationary [or offering to make it as a gift for someone you know] you can cut costs and make sure you get exactly the style you had in mind.
Here I’ve created 3 quite different styles using the Classic Wedding and I Heart You stamp sets. The first is a simple ‘Classic Monochrome’ look. I stamped a single heart in black Versafine ink on to white card stock, then matted and layered it on to black cardstock and a patterned paper which echoed the scroll effect in the heart design. The ‘Invitation’ stamp is from the Classic Wedding set which contains all the essential 'wedding' words [eg: Wedding; R.S.V.P, Service] in two fonts for you to choose from.
My second look has a ‘Shabby Chic’ feel. I stamped the tiny dotted heart from Classic Wedding twice - overlapping, filled their centres with glitter and placed them on to two circles of vintage music score-sheets. I snipped into the circles, ruffled the edges and added some matte glitter to them using Glossy Accents. The ‘Love’ sentiment [from the I Heart You set] was stamped onto co-ordinating pink paper and tucked beneath the rosette embellishment.
My final look is the ‘Pretty Punk’ feel whose main focus is the safety-pinned hearts! I stamped the pink heart in Brilliance ink first and used the fabulous scribbly heart [Both from I Heart You] in black over the top. I half tore / half cut the design out, added the gold pin and raised it using 3D foam.
The stamps are versatile enough for you to be able to adapt them to perfectly complement the style and theme of your own wedding simply by changing the colours of the ink, the choice of font or the papers you combine with them.
Perhaps your wedding plans are have been floating around for a while or ... perhaps you just said ‘Yes’ or will tomorrow, St. Valentine’s day. If so then 'Yay!! Congratulations!!".
Either way we’d love to see any of your Banana Frog wedding related projects - you could even enter them into our current monthly challenge where the theme is 'Love'!! [details here].
You know where to find me.
