As well as seeing the fantastic projects done by the Banana Frog design team, I love seeing how people use Banana Frog stamps. We call it Banana Frog in the wild -out there, with the stamps doing your own thing!
Today I wanted to show you two such projects.
The first is by an Italian lady called Manu. I met Manu at the PACS Italy event last year. Her classes were amazing and she was just a beautiful person. You can learn more about Manu through her blog -and I urge anyone to take her classes if they get chance. Manu has used the It's all about...Stars set in a gorgeous layout about her son.
Here is what Manu had to say about her layout:
I’m not really at ease with stamps, but when I saw the stars of Banana Frog I had to buy them! So I decided to challenge myself to use only stamps on my layout.
I chose the photo and I decided to play with blue, green and kraft colors, then I thought it would be nice to stamp on fabric and so I did it :)
I stamped some stars with a blue ink on Michael Miller fabric. I stamped some other more on an old book page and on kraft paper. I added just a few embellishments (some little buttons, chipboards and little stickers) and my layout was ready: fast, clean, simple :). I think I’m going to buy more stamps!!!!!!
The second project is a fantastic Family Tree by Amy. Amy owns Willow Tree Crafts in the UK and also runs the Scrap Fever events.
Amy has used a wood tree base and then made it extra special by adding in the Backgrounds stamps.
First Amy painted the tree with acrylic paint. She then stamped the woodgrain stamp over the tree base and branches and the gorgeous leaf swirl over the green part of the tree and covered the chipboard shapes with stickles before adding her pictures.
Amy has put a great kit together so that you can make the tree. Check it out at the Willow Tree Crafts store. It would be great as a family tree or as a friendship tree.
How have you been using your Banana Frog stamps? Show us! We would love to see what the stamps are up to in the wild.
Also, don't forget to add your comment to the new designs post for a chance to win a full set of the new stamps. You have until midnight GMT on the 15th October!
