March challenge - results

The challenge for March was basically a giveaway. We wanted to know your favourite set of Banana Frog stamps (either that you own or that you want to own!). All you had to do was post a comment on this post to get a chance to win one of 10 sets of stamps.

My favourite set would have to be It's all about Scallops. They are so de mode at the moment!

I love the Whirligig Circles stamps as a circle to me, represents fun and the eternal bond of life and love that has no beginning and no ending. I actually don't even own one stamp at all so it would be awesome to receive some of your products which are so great and funky!

March Challenge - Favourite

People often ask me what is my favourite set of Banana Frog stamps. I find this really difficult to answer! I mean, they are all like my babies -after all I spend hours designing them, sorting out the layout and then eagerly await their arrival. So it is like asking me about my children and I therefore refuse to answer on the grounds that I will most likely change my mind when one or other of them is naughty!

Anyway, although I don't answer the question I am always very interested in what others have to say. What is your favourite set of Banana Frog stamps? It could be one you have already and use all the time, or it could be one that you desire and you are stalking until you can get it all for yourself!

With that in mind, the March challenge isn't really a challenge but more a poll of sorts. Tell us your favourite set and get the chance to win a gorgeous set of Banana Frog stamps! I used 4 of my favourite sets of Banana Frog stamps on this layout about my son and the funny faces he pulls when he is trying to look like a cool dude! I stamped Super Stars and What a Star!  in Versamark as a background, the title is using Pharmacy Large and the journaling tag is from It's all about...Documenting.

February Challenge - winner

The winner of the February challenge is Leo with her cute notecards made using the Paperchains set. Thanks for the idea Leo, I think I will be getting a production line of notecards, they looks so sweet! Please send us your address so that we can send you out some lovely stamps.

Keeping in the February challenge Love theme, here is a quick layout from me using the It's all about...Hearts, Madfont and It's all about...Documenting. 

My husband allowed our daughter to paint his face ("like a Zebra daddy!") knowing that I was right there with my camera. Now that is love :)

Next month's challenge is more of a giveaway than a challenge. So start thinking about your favourite set of Banana Frog stamps (either that you have or want) and check back on the 8th for more details!

February Challenge - Love

Those who know me know that I am definitely not one of those type A personality people. You know the kind, tidy, specific and organised. My husband says I am messy, cluttered, disorganised and always pushing a deadline. I prefer to see it as being creative! Anyway, this year I decided that I am going to use the monthly challenges to get me ahead of the game when it comes to cards and layouts. 

The February challenge, being the month of Valentine's Day is all about Love. Show your love by creating something -a card, layout, altered art etc. So the February challenge will help me at least sort out a Valentine's card and I may squeeze a layout in there too!

I have made a simple card using the new It's all about...Hearts set and Willing Race (one of my all time favourite alphabets!). 

I stamped the small heart cluster across the middle of the card. Then using a separate piece of card, stamped the flourish heart which I popped on foam so that it would stand out. To finish, I stamped Love in the bottom corner.

Super simple yet very effective.

Now don't tell John what his Valentine's card looks like!

I also made a black and white version of the card, which would be great for a wedding card or invitation.
