I'm a big fan of lists, journals and notebook paper, so it was a no brainer that I would eventually make my own notebooks. Once I discovered that my sewing machine could stitch through a stack of paper, I started making some simple stitched notebooks.
These three were made from one sheet of 12x12 kraft cardstock (of course!), notebook paper and Banana Frog stamps.
I cut the sheet of cardstock into thirds - each piece measured 4"x12"
Tthen I cut notebook paper to 9.5 cm x 29 cm (I tend to alternate between metric and imperial, do you do that?).
I then used my stamps and black Distress Ink to stamp a motif onto the cardstock covers
I folded the covers and pages in half, stacked them together, then ran a stitch down the fold from the inside. Be sure to overstitch the top and bottom for extra strength.
Now I have a few exta notebooks to throw in my handbag, or leave on my bedside table to take notes when inspiration strikes!

These are after my own heart! I too love notebooks and notepads and have them everywhere for when inspiration strikes. I bought a cheap small sewing machine for sewing pape and cards so I dont wreck the needle on my proper big machine.
Will get making some of these noteboks now. x

Great idea, you can never have too many notebooks - thank you!
