Hi
I'm getting all romantic this month for my project of the day because next month Valentine's Day is before my next scheduled post... and I've created a couple of cards - variations on a theme.
I love this technique - masking, spraying, stamping and a touch of stickles! Nice and simple and no two are the same. I think it adds interest to have the big ink splodges - adds character and impact - you've gotta love a bit of 'grafitti'!
I used the 'I heart you' set of stamps - full of lovely, different styles of hearts - and the 'sentimental style' which has loads of greetings.
Punch (or cut) out a heart shape to create a mask and stick loosely the card blank - I use post-it notes for this, blue-tac works well too.
Spray - I used Glimmer mists. Gently dry with heat tool.
Stamp sentiment (I used Archival black)
Stamp heart motif - cover part of 'masked' heart
Doodle lines to hilight the heart
Doodle around the edge of the card, and stamp a few smaller hearts to finish off.
Here's a variation:
showing the glimmer mists on the card flat and tilted to catch the light - lush!
If you don't fancy using a heart motif how about using a star instead for a congratulations card....
I hope you've enjoyed this project of the day,
Take care and see you next mont!

Masking, spraying and stamping, the thought of it just gives me a warm glow. Thanks for the inspiration.
