Hi all.
I thought I'd share some simple cards made featuring the Christmas Elegance set:
The delicate filigree designs on the stamps reminded me of some flocked paper which had been languishing at the bottom of my scrap bag all year, so that formed the starting point of the cards.
To mirror the rich velvety red of my flocked paper, I inked up my stamps with two warm dye inks, graduated together:
As I so often do, I stamped onto a slightly patterned paper, as I find this adds an extra level of interest to the finished card.I then used a Versamark Watermark pad to stamp the leafy branch design across the areas of blank cardstock and heat embossed with a clear powder over the top:
Onto a plain cream card I added strips of the flocked paper and self-adhesive ribbons to form a background and the finishing touches included some diamante gems, a ribbon and a stamped greeting from the same set.
I repeated the same embossing process on the flaps of the envelopes too - for an additional touch of festive elegance:
The envelope seals are simply a fancy block and greeting from the set, stamped on to cream paper [again using a two-tone inking effect] then carefully trimmed around and fixed to the tip of the flap with double sided tape:
Using all of the same techniques as above, I made another card using the Christmas Elegnce tree design:
Although these cards are super-simple to make - the additions of the flocked paper, the glossy embossed leaves and the gem stones work to add little touches of luxury which make Christmastime - and Christmas cardmaking - extra special!
Thanks for looking in on my projects today. I'll have another for you the same time next month.
Julie :-)

So, so pretty! Love the adhesive ribbon and the embossing on the envelope. It makes it so special. =)
