Project Of The Day – Cupcake-y Goodness

Don’t you just love it when you find something that inspires you to create??
I DO :)
A while back I was reading my friend Ed’s blog and saw a cool bag she had made from a tea towel

That alone was inspiring but the design on the newly altered tea towel was what made my heart skip an extra beat
Those coloured dots!!
Those cupcakes!!
Inspiring indeed!!

So for this project I started by pulling out some cardstock, paints and the Flowery Thoughts stamp pack, that has a blank circle stamp, PERFECT

I painted up the circle stamp and started placing rows of pink and then of brown circles

when the paint was dry I used the small cupcake stamps from the Cake Greetings pack and stamped those on to the circles

and stamped those on to the circles

I then thought I would use a giant cupcake to draw the eye to the title so stamped the big cake that is in the “That Takes The Cake” pack

I then misted the image with some pink spray ink

before adding a pearl to the top ;)

I think I like the end result of all those cupcakes

and am thankful for Ed’s inspiration for cupcake-y goodness!!
I also used the Simple Greetings pack on my journal block, to add some ‘flair’ to my journaling :)
