Here in the UK we call it bunting...over in North America they seem to call them banners -- but whatever they are, we love them at Banana Frog! Paper Chains is a stamp set dedicated to bunting in all forms! It includes outline and solid stamps in traditional triangles plus hearts, circles and rectangles, plus a teeny alphabet that fits perfectly inside so you can spell whatever you would like. There are even little bows and scallop borders included to dress up your bunting! Or banners! Whatever you would like to call them!
I have two exciting things for you today: a video showing the Paper Chains stamps in action plus a chance to WIN a free set of Paper Chains stamps for yourself! To enter, leave a comment on this post with what you would like to spell in your stamped bunting! Any greeting for a card, name for a tag or title for a scrapbook page!
You can see more about the inside of this minibook at the weekend long scrapbook party at shimelle.com next weekend - the 16th to 18th of April. There will be more Banana Frog projects and stamp giveaways there too so don't miss out!
Right -- leave your comment on this post to enter and one person will win! Entries close at midnight on the 16th of April and the winner will be posted here on the Frog Blog on the 17th! Good luck!
Love and glitter,
Shimelle

Posted by: Hazel Harris | April 14, 2010 at 09:10 PM
Ooh I'd love these stamps, I'd use them to spell 'A perfect day' and then use it as a title for several scrapbook pages, varying the end of the title with stickers spelling 'for picnics', 'for building sandcastles', 'for a day at the farm' etc. These stamps would be brilliant for this because I could vary the bunting style but still keeping the pages linked in theme!
Posted by: Jennifer | April 14, 2010 at 09:24 PM
These are great little stamps, could have lots of fun with them.
Posted by: Sue Fermandel | April 14, 2010 at 09:26 PM

I think I'd make a retro-vintagey sort of layout first of all... so I'd use a bunting banner to spell out a title for this - perhaps "Garden Party" or "Retro Roses"... hmm, time to get my sketchbook out I think!
Posted by: Lizzie | April 14, 2010 at 10:12 PM

Hi
Thankyou for the video. So many times I umm and ahh over the purchase of stamps and end up not. When I see a video like this, a lightbulb goes off - it looks great. A bit of imagination can do wonders - I wish I had some.
I would use the set to support a page about and dog show and my puppy who whilst waiting to be judged at the show had a drink from one of the bowls that were settled in the line up and then prompty wee'd in it! Suggestions welcome as to what to write on the bunting.
The set looks like a must have. happy days
