Guest designer: Jolene Johnston Part 2!

We had so many wonderful submissions for the 2009 Banana Frog design team that in addition to our amazing design team, each month we will have a guest designer showing you fantastic creations. The guest designer will have two days to show their lovely projects, 1st and 15th of the month.

Well, that's the schedule that we have had for 2009 except one month when the parcel of goodies went walkabout so we had to miss out on Jolene Johnston. So for this month we have two wonderful guest designers! To see Jolene's first projects,take a look here.

Friends:

I stamped some flowers from the Superlicious set and embossed with red powder on text paper by 7 Gypsies. The flower center is a sentiment from Flowery Thoughts, embossed with black powder and raised with a pop dot. For a little pop of green against the vibrant red and black, I beaded some wire to create the leaf and vine embellishment.

 

Heart Throb Necklace:

I started with a glass tile by Ranger and embossed the smallest stamp from the Swirls set with silver powder. I used Cranberry and Butterscotch Ranger alcohol inks on the back of the glass to color the tile. Once it was dry I glued the title to a second tile using Stardust Stickles.

The sparkle from the Stickles shines through the semi-transparent color of the alcohol inks, adding just a touch of sparkle to the pendant. I placed the glass tile in a silver Ranger Memory Frame and completed the necklace with red and silver glass beads.
