How often has someone paid you a compliment, given you positive feedback, thanked you, been kind to you, helped you out or told you what an all round, top to bottom, great person you are???
If you're saying 'never' or 'not very often' then maybe you should make yourself one of these journals too - to note down some of life's more positive moments that we really do tend to forget about. Isn't it always the case that even if we recieve 20 positive responses to something we've made, a new haircut, our performance at work .... months later it's the one single negative comment which we remember the most???
To counteract this I've made myself a journal [the hearts and 'Thank You' stamp used on the cover are from 'Classic Wedding'] to keep track of all those nice little comments friends make, the 'thank you's I've recieved at work, some of the online feedback I've had from people who appreciate my style ...in short, it's a book to record life's 'good stuff', as and when it happens.
Above I've used a dye-ink and the 'Notes from today' stamp from the It's All About ...Documenting set. Below, one of the sets of quotation marks from 'Big Punctuation' frames my page, leaving me room to note down details of a whole conversation.
The journal I'm using, along with all of the decorative elements, came from the stash swap which fellow DT member Kirsty Neale and I did this summer and it goes to show how using someone elses supplies can free you up to be creative. I'm not sure I would have thought about stamping onto handmade paper, but as Kirsty had included this plain notebook in my parcel, I really had nothing to lose. I really love the effect both dye-inks and pigment inks [below]create on this soft, textured paper.
Below is a page featuring another of the quotation mark sets within 'Big Punctuation' which, alongside 'It's All About Documenting' makes a perfect set of stamps to use on projects which involve speech, conversations, notes, quotes ....even gossip!
Here, rather than try to fit everything I want to say into one journaling block [from It's All About ...Documenting] I've stamped across the entire double page and will write directly across them.
It's going to be great having all of the 'good stuff' housed in one pretty place, rather than being hidden away in the backs of old diaries,in saved emails, texts and Facebook comments or, worst of all, lost altogether over the course of time.
I'd love to hear what you think of the idea and see anything you might make to record your happy memories and positive feedback. So, do drop off your work in the Banana Frog Flickr goup or leave me a comment below. Chances are that if you say something nice, sweet, kind and wonderful ...you're might just end up in my 'good stuff' journal too!! ;)
For anything else [although I really like the nice, sweet, kind and wonderful stuff the best!], you know where to find me...

You are wonderful. It is wonderful.
And I'm not just saying that so I can be in the book. Honestly!

Hi, Okay so I'm getting my haircut before school starts & I'm not sure what haircut to get...
I have light brown hair about 2-3 inches below my shoulders.
I have an oval shaped face.
I don't want to cut a lot off my hair.
If you need anymore information just ask =)
