i love the fuzzy wuzzy appearance flocking powder gives !
Never tried flocking ? It's time to try !
Flocking is another alternative to jazzing up your projects with texture.
For my project, i i used loose flocking powder from doodlebug.
Here are the supplies :
- Banana Frog Circus Stories Stamp set + It's all about Elegance Stamp set
- Cardstock
- White Flocking Powder (DoodlebUg) : * think polar bear ...
- Glue Pad (no heat) (Tsukineko)
- Pattern paper
- ink
- decorative scissors
I made used of the basic shapes from Banana Frog's Cricus Stamp Set to create flocked frames.
Here are the basic steps in creating this simple page:
1. Stamp patterns from stamp set with glue ink.
2. Working qiuckly, pour flocking powder generously over the stamped image.
Be sure you have the glue on thick enough and don’t let this dry before you apply the flock.
Allow it to rest on the glue for a minute. Press and even it out for a smooth surface.
3. Gently tap off excess powder.
4. Leave the images untouched for an hour before proceeding with the rest of the steps. This allows the powder to set.
5. Proceed with creating the rest of layout. Stamp images onto cardstock. Here, i used Banana Frog's It's all about Elegance Stamp set. Love the details on the stamps !
6. Using decorative scissors, trim card stock to fit into flocked frames.
7. At this point, i added another "layer" of flocked powder to give a more fuzzy feel.
Ink with glue over and above the first layer of flock. Allow to dry ( i left it alone for half a day).
8. Journal and include title and photo.
Have fun flocking !
That is very lovely!
