The months are certainly flying by quickly and we come to another month of Colour Focus. This month's inspiration come from a well-known fabric designer who had had some of her fabric designs translated into paper too! Who am I talking about... Amy Butler. A browse at her site produce this month's inspiration for Colour Focus:
The talented Froglets were delighted and came up with some amazing creations this month.
Anthea came up with this lovely LO using stamp sets from Its all about Scallops, Teen Large, Funky Flowers and Swirls.
Tip: Add life to your stamped flowers with Pearls and a little
distressing on the petals and group several flowers together. When
stamping a title, outline the letters with a gel pen for definition.
Emeline produced a very delightful and colourful card using Perfect Paisley and Dear Joe IV (upper) stamp sets.
She used brown pigment ink for the alphabets and went over with gold pen ink for a gradual color tint.
Paisley patterns are stamped onto a cardstock, looped to creat a faux ribbon look.
Francine was inspired by the bow on the bag as well as the colours and went for a girly page!
She used Pharmacy (large), It's All About Arrows and Make a Chain stamp set.
Kirsty came up with a happy-new-home card. For once, instead of starting with a stamped image, she worked the project around the sentiment sticker. It's from Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird collection, which has a really cool, retro fifties feel that she wanted to echo in the background. After sifting through her Banana Frog stamps for something suitable, she found a perfect match. It's actually a flower centre from the Build A Bloom set, but it reminded her of the atomic symbols that were a popular design feature in the 1950s. She love the way it turned out, stamped and embossed in white, and it's definitely inspired her to see which of her other stamps she can look at (and use!) with fresh eyes.
Jo produced a decorative canvas using the large flower from the Scibble flower set - one of her all time Banana Frog sets! She embossed in white on a red background, teamed with lettuce acrylic paint, a sprinkling of gems, brads and Prima flowers.
Hope you have been inspired by the creations. Do show us what you have done with Banana Frog stamps.

Finally, Julie used the 'Fanciful' set to create ornate corners and the 'Tag It'
set for her journaling blocks. She used clear embossing powder over
metallic inks to add a sheen to the images.
